Joey is about 2 years old, male neutered cat who was rescued more than a year ago. He is vaccinated (with medical records), groomed and clean with no health issues.
Joey loves to cuddle and likes to nap close to his/ her pet parent. He also likes to groom himself and peacefully goes to sleep. When awake and active, he likes to play hunt and satisfied playing with his little toys and small balls.
Joey eats dry and wet food and he is not too picky when it comes to brands. But he eats chicken mostly and won’t eat tuna or fish. He loves his treats, and it’s a good way to persuade him to do what you might want him to do. He likes to nibble on some indoor plants, so if you have these inside your home make sure to keep them high enough or away from his reach.
Joey has his dome litter box, scratch posts, house, travel cage, pillow, small toys and balls and there is a blanket that he likes and we can spare so he can enjoy it in his new home.
We didn’t want to give him away to any pet centers because we didn’t want to think of the possibility of putting him to sleep if no one adopts him.
Joey had a hard childhood, according to his previous pet parent, and took him few days to adjust to us and his new place. He hid under the bed and sofas first couple weeks, but once he felt safe enough he was more open and stopped hiding completely in a month or so. He walks a bit funny because of the hardships he went through in his childhood.
Joey is comfortable with being left alone for a long period of times (we leave him every day and be gone from (8 AM to 4 PM) once we are home he wants to hang out with us or just nap by our feet or on our laps. He loves the company of his parents and demands it if we were busier than usual and comes and meows sadly until you come out and pet him or feed him.
Joey is a very sweet boy who needs loving and caring parents who have the time and energy to enjoy his company. If you have kids, I think he will be the perfect friend for them.
